Proverbs 31 Challenge

I figured that I needed a new post since people are gonna stop "stoppin" by - when there is no material. We have been super busy with my parents stopping by for a visit. We attended numerous sporting events and even had time for a picnic at the zoo.

I have to say one of my favorite new things (even though I am failing miserably) is More Water's new Proverb's 31 Challenge site. This is such a great challenge - and I do say challenge with every emphasis you can conjure up! I am hoping that each week will be a new challenge. Although, the one there is good for every week of the year and if I keep trying maybe one of these weeks I will live up to it.

My verse I am working on is "Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life." Proverbs 4:23

The Unveiling

Here is what we did last night - we broke down and bought a new oven!! Yay! C was watching as it was being installed and said, "Oooh, this one doesn't have knobs!" I wasn't sure what she was talking about and so I asked her - the other had knobs to turn for the controls - this one is all digitalized! I told her we were finally out of the 60s.

I made pizza last night and everyone so was very happy. It has been a long while since we had anything that you had to cook in an oven. Although, I decided that an oven is really a luxery and not a neccessity!

What Not to Do to an Oven

Domestic Goddess I am not. You have to know NOT to lift up on the heating element while the oven is on and clean the floor of the oven - because if you do that your oven might end up looking like mine! B and his dad found out that it cannot be fixed due to the fact that GE doesn't make the part to our 1966 oven that exploded anymore (ie...new oven for me!!) Check back soon for the unveiling of the new oven!!

Kelly this One if For You

So - broke down and washed my purse last night. I know you think I need to buy a new one but . . . I am thinking that isn't high enough on my priorty list to spend money on! So, Kelly, you will just have to put up with the pink thing for a little longer. Maybe now it won't be so hard to take now that it isn't black and pink!!

Is It Going To Be a White Christmas This Year?

This is what we woke up to this morning - who would've thought it was spring? Hmmm maybe my friend Kandid Kiwi who was laying out just this past week in hopes to get a jump on the tanning season!!

It is supposed to be back in the 60s and 70s this week, though!!!

Sunday Morning News

So, here we are on Sunday morning - the kids and Brent having left home this morning at 9:10 to go to church only to return at 10. C was saying her tummy hurt and she thought she might - well you get the picture! Anyway it has been the weekend for ickiness. I was literally in bed all day yesterday except for the hour and a half I was sitting at the soccer field in the freezing cold, blowing wind and snow pellets. (and all that to watch The Mighty Leprachauns lose a very hideously sad game 0-8!) A says "Ouch!" and I am inclined to agree with her. I am thinking that those poor little freezing girls don't play so well in that kind of weather!

I am posting a link to this cool blog I found off my friend More Water's site. It is called girl talk and I think it has some neat things to say. Right now this site is talking about marriage and how we can make our hubbies feel more like we love them. (well- I couldn't figure out how to say that, so that is what you get.) You should check them out. Also, Girls - it has a picture of a tshirt that says "I love my Husband"! I guess we are one up on that -- that is such old news and style!!

Fairy Princess

I am posting this again since I deleted it and I really do like this cute little princess quiz. I am the Fairy Princess - which I think is the coolest. Both my girls took it and are the dreaming princess. So, I do like the dreaming princess picture better than the fairy princess (which happens to be a naked fairy standing in the garden). It is not the picture posted here. Here is what it says about the Fairy Princess (aka me!!)

You are youthful, cheery, and exuberant with a sunny disposition and a mischievous sense of humor. You are very lively and are always up for a good bit of fun. You have a deep love of nature and animals.

Role Model: Titania

You are most likely to: Convert a pumpkin into a useful mode of transportation.

It is your turn now - what kind of princess are you?

I am always striving for the youthful, cheery part. Somedays are better than others!!
