Lyric Tag

I am starting a new "tag your it"! Here is what you are to do - when you are tagged, you simply write out the lyrics to a song that is currently meaningful in your life. I got this idea from LAughter Thoughts Amazing Grace video and Great Adventures blog - I just noticed her post with the lyrics of a Caedman's Call song (good choice!!) I will start first and then I tag Blue Bicycle, Mrs. J, Kandid Kiwi and Smile.

My song is very important to me because of the trials in my life now and my theme is to continually praise God through it all. So without further adou I give you Mercy Me's Bring on the Rain (thanks for Florianne for directing me to this song!!)

I can count a million times
People asking me how I
Can praise You with all that I've gone through
The question just amazes me
Can circumstances possibly
Change who I forever am in You
Maybe since my life was changed
Long before these rainy days
It's never really ever crossed my mind
To turn my back on you, oh Lord
My only shelter from the storm
But instead I draw closer through these times
So I pray

Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
Bring me anything that brings You glory
And I know there'll be days
When this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to praise You
Jesus, bring the rain

I am Yours regardless of
The dark clouds that may loom above
Because You are much greater than my pain
You who made a way for me
By suffering Your destiny
So tell me what's a little rain
So I pray

Holy, holy, holy
Is the Lord God Almighty

Good song choice. I looked at it this morning and I've been singing the song all morning now. Very beautiful!

O.k. Tag, I'm it...i can do this...I know I can. So...I'm supposed to put my song up on my blog...correct?

Here's the problem...I have a cd with about 12 songs on it...and they are all songs that I have chosen since October 7th!! Your song is the last song on my cd...the finale! ;)

But, I know which one I'll post...it's just gonna take me some time to get the video. in the meantime...don't you dare think that I forgot!

He's Always Been Faithful
Sara Groves

Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me

Morning by morning I wake up to find
The power and comfort of God’s hand in mine
Season by season I watch Him, amazed
In awe of the mystery of His perfect ways
All I have need of, His hand will provide
He’s always been faithful to me.

I can’t remember a trial or a pain
He did not recycle to bring me gain
I can’t remember one single regret
In serving God only, and trusting His hand
All I have need of, His hand will provide
He’s always been faithful to me.

This is my anthem, this is my song
The theme of the stories I’ve heard for so long
God has been faithful, He will be again
His loving compassion, it knows no end
All I have need of, His hand will provide
He’s always been faithful, He’s always been faithful
He’s always been faithful to me.

You are amazing Edie! I am sure Brent is very proud of the way you are right now. Your actions, attitude, and constant faith have to be a complete source of comfort and encouragement to the three wonderful babies in your life. Our kids are all the same age and I still call MINE babies... :o)

Hugs to you and them!!

Doesn't that girl in the video look like the eldest Martin a few years back?

By the way...I post my video on MY blog, right?

Just wanted to pop in to you blog and let you know how often I think of you and pray for you all (Ross fills me in). I don't know if you remember me or not from TLC (I'm not using my IRL name on my blog or posts, so if you don't... you can ask Jan or Ross Ü).

You are quite a testimony to our Awesome Lord's grace and peace and power. Keep in the Spirit, You "are surrounded by a cloud of witnesses".

in Christ,
GfG
