The Prince

Tonight for our date night (A and me) we are going to see the long awaited Prince Caspian. We have both read ALL the Chronicles of Narnia Books and although this is not my favorite book (The Voyage of the Dawn Treader - which is the next book in the series after Prince Caspian) I am still excited to see this one!

(Edited to say - IT was fabulous and my friend's husband totally took his family and went to London for 6 months to work on it! You should check out her blog)

Let me know how the movie is. I have heard mixed reviews.

(Thanks for the comments on my blog...I know others read it, you are the only one to comment...)

Though the movie was very well done, it adds a bit to the story that only exists in the movie. Dave's work is in the movie fourteen times! Pretty awesome for his first film. : ) It's not for young eyes, so we saw it at midnight (see blog), then again with the kids later that morning. I covered little C and Q's eyes quite a lot. If their daddy hadn't worked on the film and moved them to another country to do it, we wouldn't have taken them.
Sooo, how'd ya like it? See it again and again 'cuz we saw so much more the second time. Our third time is coming up - hopefully with SillyBug!

VOTDT is in the making as we converse!

Dave also CG'd the water for the river with the river god. The river bed was almost dry, so Dave filled it with rushing water, including the ripples you see when Aslan steps on the bridge (arial view). Awesome experience all over the place ~ God's presence was so clear whilst we were all living in London.

YAY for the Voyage of the Dawn Treader - will Dave get to work on that one, too?

The water was cool, too. Dave did a very good job - please tell him for us!

just getting through some email reading and catching up with my blogs...Purple wants to go with ME to see PC! So cool! We want to go the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood to see it. Does that work for you? When we say Narnia there, it snowed in the audience as they walked through the wardrobe...so cool. Then all the costumes were on display after. We want to go for R's 10th bday. I know all you non-California out of staters are jealous that you don't have an El Capitan theater! But c'mon, we have to have some perks for living in this traffic congested, smog jaded Los A.

Okay, so I have not been blog-hoppin' in WAY TOO LONG! I would blame it on my tummy ills, but I am also just tired. Not much time for the computer when I am sticking my feet up in the air and relaxing. :):):)

So, here's a very belated congratulations on that beeyouteefull new ride!! How great! Maybe someday you'll just have to break it in even more with an across-the-country drive to the Pacific NW!!

I saw where Mr. Movie (who cares what Mr. Movie thinks anyway, though, right?) gave Prince Caspian a good rating, but he didn't care for it as much-- said there wasn't the same substance, thought it was less younger-audience friendly, etc... I'm glad to hear it was good and that you enjoyed it. Now how long will you have to wait before you can see the next one? N and I are excited to see it... maybe we'll get a movie night in before baby arrives.

That and the new Indiana Jones movie... another one which Mr. Movie wasn't too excited about either. But I don't care. I still plan on watching it!

I think I will not read Mr. Movie reviews anymore. He just tries to spoil my fun.
